Google continually makes enhancements to not just its search algorithm in general, but to local search elements. We have discussed quite a few of these recently, because frankly, Google seems to be doing a lot more with local search lately.

To review, here are some other recently discussed topics related to local search, specifically through Google:

Last week, Google quietly rolled out another change. On the Official Google Blog, Johanna Wright, Director of Product Management, Search writes:

Want to know when your favorite museum is open? Interested in ordering in and need to quickly check the menu for that restaurant around the corner? This week we were excited to launch hours and menu information in local results for universal Google search. Now you can add the words “hours” or “menu” to your search to get back the information you want in a snap.

Hopefully you are already including your business hours on your site, but you may be able to get them to show up right in Google’s results pages from this point on. Assuming you want them to get to your brick and mortar store and not your e-commerce store, that’s one less click you have to worry about.
